May 02, 2025Super-Wide Leg Jeans Strike Again
I’ve loved every pair of super-wide leg jeans I’ve tried so far, and this color/pair is no exception. The Essex Wash is dark enough that I definitely won’t be apologizing for wearing them to work, and has the fit I’m really loving: that high waist that’s nice and structured so I feel well contained, but the very freeing open wide leg, really free of constriction. The cut comes off almost trouser-like, which elevates them, but definitely an homage to a 90s style (no complaints). This particular wash was on the tighter side in the waist for me in the super-wide legs— that didn’t occur in other washes. That’s my only beef!

May 01, 2025so nice but sooo long!
i’m about 5’3, long torso, usually size 26 in madewell jeans, size xs/s/2, and have about a 29” inseam. i bought these jeans in the dark essex wash, size 26. they are stunning! definitely super long though so i will need to get them hemmed. tighter than my other jeans as well, which i have found fairly consistent when the color of denim is darker through madewell. assuming these will bleed in the wash so i’m going to do research on how to prevent that , so i can wear them with light colors without dying everything. they’re great tho! excited to wear.

I've been wanting a pair of Super-wide jeans, but I could never quite find my perfect pair. This wash is perfect. I'm 5'4, but I have a longer inseam. The length is great with a small heel, but I wear them cuffed with sneakers or my Greta ballet flats. I'm so happy to finally add a pair of dark rinse jeans to my wardrobe. Dark jeans can be so hard to get right. The Essex wash is perfection.

These are great! Very soft cotton.Fitted at the waist with nice wide legs. I'm 5'4" and they are a tad long. Thinking about getting them hemmed an inch but could get by with wearing as is.

I'm not a huge fan of wide leg, but always looking for a nice pair of dark denim. The fit on these are so flattering on. They are a high rise at 11 1/2" inseam, but took my normal size 25 and have just enough room in the waist to sit comfortably for long periods without feeling uncomfortable as some higher rise jeans. I'm 5'7" and the 32" inseam hits right at the floor. Material is super comfortable; love these!

I wanted a darker wash wide leg jeans and these were very close to what I was looking for. One of the reviews said that these were thin. I agree but that’s why I like these. Super wide leg jeans have a lot of materials so it is better to be thin. I have a lighter wash wide leg in airy denim as well. The only reason for four stars is these didn’t come in petite sizes. I am only 5’2” and there were so long. Also, no size 24 available. It skipped from 23 to 25 and I chose 25 because better to be slightly loose than tightOverall, I still like them and recommend

I love these jeans so much. I'm 5'2 so I do roll the cuffs up, but it's a very stylish color and can be dressed up or down. My only issue is that it's very tight around the crotch but fits everywhere else perfectly.

I typically wear a size 29 in Madewell jeans. I have two pairs of the super wide leg jeans both in a 29. However, these jeans were at least on size (maybe two) sizes too small. I prefer the curvy line due to having wider hips, however, I haven’t had a problem with this style before. It does typically fit snugger on my hips but this time I could not even button them. I would not purchase these especially if you are someone who also prefers the curvy line. Additionally, the denim material on these is very thin. My other super wide leg jeans feel like a higher quality denim.
