I hesitated when I originally read the reviews saying this sweater is 'orange', but I'm so glad I trusted my gut! It's definitely not a true 'Christmas Red', but it is a lovely rusty mid-mod grown up red. Pretty spot on from the photos imo. Its on the thicker side and just the right amount of soft. I sized up to a medium for a more oversized cozy fit, but my normal size small would have fit just perfect I'm sure. Happy I went with my gut... it kept me so comfy and cozy over the holidays :)

I was so excited to receive this sweater and it has met all my expectations! It is the perfect winter-y mid-mod style sweater. It is soft, cozy, and best of all--not cropped! I was a little nervous about it running on the smaller side, but it is actually a pretty generous fit.

This is a beautifully fabricated sweater, however it appears to be red on the website. This sweater is definitely orange- not even reddish orange…. I am returning it solely for this reason as I had hoped to wear it for Christmas

This one's a different color. More like amber/orange like the other reviewers say but I like it. Would make for a great fall sweater to carry into the holiday season in winter. I got lots of compliments. I did get horrible rashes after the first wear but it may have been just my over-sensitive skin. Just ve aware if you have sensitive skin too. Fit wise it's a little big/baggy but that helped hide all the holiday food stashed in my Tummy!

I ordered this knowing (from the reviews, definitely not the pic) the color was orange/rust, but the pretty design was too hard to pass up. I love the fit, texture, and the yarn. Madewell, if you read these reviews, it’s okay to make things with true colors! Not everything has to be a muddied/murky tone. This sweater would have been a home run in a deep or bright red. Next year!

I love Madewell sweaters and own several. This sweater is the same softness and quality that you would expect from Madewell. However be warned that the color is not red but Orange, which is disappointing. I was hoping this would be my new pretty Christmas sweater but the color takes away from that.

I so loved the sweater in the photo. Put off purchasing until it was on sale. Unfortunately, i did not read the reviews stating that the color was not as shown. It is orange. I still like the sweater and will keep it as i did not pay full price. First time ordering Madewell sweater online. Will be more careful next time.
