The cut: designed for an hourglass shape (see: narrower waist
with a contoured band, a longer rise and a little extra room at the hips and thighs), these curvy mid-rise stovepipe jeans have a not-too-skinny, not-too-wide straight leg, the holds-you-in sorcery of our Magic Pockets™ in front and raw hems.
- The fabric: vintage-y stretch denim that hugs the body and bounces back like a pro (AKA no 3pm bagginess).
- 9 3/4" rise, 13 1/4" leg opening, 30" inseam.
- 99% cotton/1% elastane.
- Zip fly.

Love these jeans, wish they came in more colors and styles! I had a pair of curvy stovepipe jeans a few years ago and wore them out, and was glad to find these as a replacement. They’re not always in stock so I’m thrilled! Wish madewell would make more variations on this curvy stovepipe style!!

I was looking for a curvy pair of jeans with a slim, not straight, silhouette. These fit perfectly in the waist and thigh and tapered nicely at the ankles - plus, they were so, so comfortable. I will wear these for a very long time!

I bought these last month after trying other styles and learning I am consistently a 31. These were a little looser than other styles in the waist but straight in the hips and legs. The leg is not wide, it’s close to skinny. They were long for me but I’m 5’0”. I had them altered to change them from the raw hem to a cuffed hem to make them work appropriate. I wish the color were as dark as the picture but it’s more washed, I still liked them.

The color looks black in the photos but it’s actually a dark grey. Super disappointing.

I ordered these in the Armand wash, and they are a quite a bit lighter than I thought they would be. In the pictures, the wash seems to be a light black, but in person they’re much more grey. Also, there was mixed information in the description regarding the rise. At the top of the description, there was an icon indicating High Rise, but the description text says they were Mid Rise. Unfortunately, I missed the Mid Rise part and thought they were High Rise. I personally like the pairs of High Rise Curvy Stovepipe jeans I’ve bought from Madewell in the past much more than these.

I agree with other posters, the mid rise high rise thing was confusing. I wish it was high rise. Not as flattering for pearshaped bodies. The afternoon sag is so disappointing. That’s why I said that it seems they run just a touch large. My hunt for my go-to jeans continues. *sigh-*
