If you’ve seen our latest Looks We Love story, you might’ve wondered who the dreamy couple in all that denim was. Enter: Cyndle and Stas, a pair of married creatives doing their thing in Brooklyn. We caught up with them to chat about neighborhood recs, ideal outfits, upcoming travel plans and more.
Hi Cyndle, hi Stas! Firstly, can you tell us what you do and where you live? Cyndle: Hi! I’m an editorial and celebrity makeup artist. Stas: And I’m a fashion photographer. We live in Williamsburg with our dog, Clyde.
You both work in creative fields—what are some things you do to recharge and stay inspired? Stas: We both love to travel and explore new places, cultures and, of course, food! Collecting new experiences usually leads to an idea for a project.
Any exciting travel plans coming up? Cyndle: This summer we’re heading to the Greek island of Crete. Looking forward to escaping the city and getting some quality beach time.
Finally, since this our Humans We Heart series, can you both tell us about someone you admire? Cyndle: I want to give a shout-out to my mother, Judith. She’s always been a source of love and support even with my most wild ideas! Stas: I’d say Marcus Aurelius, for sharing his wisdom about human nature.
