I've been lusting after this for literally years and after a promotion I finally bit the bullet. I am SO excited. I have a smaller black Madewell bag to match. The leather is so beautiful, so roomy, and lined!!!

Absolutely gorgeous! I had been eyeing this bag for a couple of years and debated between it and a much more expensive designer bag. I decided to go with the transport weekender and am so glad I did. I have only had it a couple of months so I cannot speak to its last-ability, but it seems to be high quality. I went with the black- it is beautiful leather as all madewell products are, very classy look and not too bulky. Perfect bag for a long weekend getaway. Hopefully I’ll have this for many years to come. Thanks Madewell!

I first bought the satchel and it was way too small. I then purchased this one and I love it! I originally bought it to use as my hospital bag and I've already used it for small weekend adventures. I managed to pack for myself and my other small children. I had been eyeing this bag for a while now, but was hesitant because of the price. But I went for it and it hasn't let me down. Definitely recommend!

Dec 17, 2018I liked it but not the right fit - wanted canvas
I loved this bag and bought it in all brown leather. It looks great and was much bigger than I expected. I definitely recommend this bag but it's not for me. I decided to go with the green canvas weekender instead. I was worried about this bag getting too scratched as I travel often and am too worried about the wear and tear over time. As mentioned above, I definitely recommend this bag for anyone looking for a large leather weekender, this is it! And it's just as beautiful and sturdy in canvas as well!

The weekender bag is very well made, with nice sturdy leather that I expect will wear well over time. It is very stylish and incredible functional. The bag is Tardis-like and fits an awful lot in. Its an all around winner and the price is very right!

Nov 01, 2018Now I need to take a trip
I had a gift card so I splurged on this during a promotion; I'd wanted it for a long time. I ended up ordering two, in tan, because the leather on the first one wasn't what I expected. It was very smooth, and I remembered a more pebbly, textured leather on these bags in stores. The smooth one appeared more fragile and prone to scuffing and scratches. So I ordered another, and it has the sturdier texture I expected. It's gorgeous! I like the shape and size, very similar to my old French vinyl travel bag. But this is much more polished and elegant, yet it is not very heavy, which is important for a travel bag. The straps are thin, as everyone says, but I don't anticipate problems. The free personalization is the icing on the cake and makes it unique. I'm delighted with it and look forward to getting many years of use from it.
