Bought this top about a month ago and I wish they made a burnt orange brown color. It is absolutely fabulous. I love how it flows and the sleeves are perfect. When in doubt this is my go to top, it looks great with everything. I tuck it in the front of my pants and skirts. It’s casual enough but put together. Easy to dress up or down. Get one before they’re all gone!!

I love this shirt! I love the modern cut and the fabric is a nice thick material. I bought the black in a small and thought it fit really well (5’7, 120 lbs). This is a definite win in my opinion and I hope Madewell makes more shirts in this cut and fit. I think it’s a cool, modern look for a top and I will be wearing this a lot! It looks GREAT with a pair of jeans or dressed up with a fitted skirt or pants.

I love the simple, somewhat boxy tops that Madewell often puts out. I have similar tops in black, and so ordered the bright ivory in this one. It's darker in person; looks whiter in photos. I'm undecided about how much I like the crepe; I'm generally not a fan, but this is okay. However, it's transparent enough that you have to wear a chemise under it. I agree with the other reviewer that it doesn't really look like it does on the model; it was clearly altered for the photos, and I'm not sure why, since it's a great shape as-is. Specifically, the hem is roomier and there's more of an overall A-line shape than in the photos. The sleeves are slightly long, which could be a bad thing in the ivory version (cuffs might get dirty). Overall, I really do like how it looks - it's kind of futuristic, and can be dressed up or down, made girly or androgynous, depending on how you style it. It might just turn out to be a go-to blouse.

I really like this shirt to throw on with skinny jeans and boots BUT you guys were right. The clasps in the back at the neck do NOT stay fastened! I discovered it open one day and then wondered how long it had been open. NOT GOOD. I bought this on final sale otherwise I would take it back. Such a bummer and not the quality I'm used to with Madewell. Next time I'll listen to you guys.

I purchased both the black and white versions of the mockneck top. I am keeping the black, but have to return the white top. I ordered a large, which is my typical size, but it runs slightly large. The white looked like I was wearing the cape that a hair dresser places over you to prevent hair from getting on your clothes. It wasn't a flattering look. The black still had the slightly oversized fit, but looked more put together.

I absolutely love the material and the fit of this item! It is thicker than other shirts of this similar material, and I feel that makes it higher quality and it will last. However, there are 2 clasps that keep the back of the neck closed, and they WILL NOT STAY BUTTONED throughout a day of wearing this top! I’m not sure why as I am almost always a Medium in madewell tops and dresses, so I know the item fits properly in all other areas, and therefore couldn’t size down. Very disappointed!

I ordered this in both colors. The weight of the fabric is pretty heavy and not breathable. Fit is just blah. I have lots of Madewell tops and this one leave lots to be desired.

This top is made of great crepe looking material so the quality is great. The style though is so short and wide. It looks nothing like the model it's significantly shorter and unflattering. I ordered both colors in an X small and small but just too awkward and I can find better for the price. I'm 5'7" size 2-4. Too bad it seemed like it was going to look just like the way the model does.
