mid-rise cropped jeans have a kicked-out flare leg and the holds-you-in feel of our Magic Pockets™ in front.
- The fabric: specially dyed to keep its deep black color longer than ever, this premium stretch ISKO™ denim hugs the body and bounces back like a pro (AKA no 3pm bagginess).
- Our deepest, cleanest black wash.
- Please note: this style runs small, so we recommend ordering one size larger than your normal size.
- 9 1/4" rise, 16 1/4" leg opening, 27 1/2" inseam.
- Button fly.
- 75% cotton (11% of which is recycled)/22% recycled polyester/3% elastane.
- Machine wash.

Jan 26, 2025I love Madewell’s kick Out Crop Jeans
A knowledgeable sales rep introduced me to this style of jeans so this is actually my second pair. I have always had problems finding a flattering pair of jeans being 5’3” with an athletic straight (hipness) figure. Typically, a medium-rise jean would cut me by my belly and just add a bump to my belly but these ride high enough and is closer to my waist. Also this “crop” length is actually a regular length for my height. You DEFINITELY have to buy a size larger in the black rose than the other blue shades! Somehow they run smaller.

I bought the Kick Out Crop Jeans in Black rinse wash earlier this month at full price and returned to buy a second pair on sale. Yes, they're that great! I've been field testing them as the jeans I'll wear later this year on a trip to Italy. A carry-on only traveler, I need every wardrobe item to count. Each item has to be comfortable, versatile, stylish, and hold up to the rigors of weeks of travel. These Madewell jeans tick all the boxes! There's not one thing I'd change about them. Their 75% cotton / 22% poly / 3% elastane blend is perfect for travel (and everything else!), keeping the jeans looking smart and holding their shape and style even after a full day. You can pull off evening attire or a day in sneakers with this versatile jean. For reference, I'm 5'5", size 6 with an hourglass figure, and Madewell's regular 28W fits TTS.

These are my new favourite jeans. Just the right amount of stretch and very flattering. Work with ankle boots, heels and flats. I sized down and they fit snugly. My usual size probably would have worked too.
