So I sized down in these because I normally where a 34 and since Madewell has done the plus line which no one asked for I’ve been in limbo trying to find Jean shorts that work. I’m a 16/18 for reference and 220lbs 5’6.” I purchased the 33 which are perfect. Just the right amount of baggy without being comical. If you wear the curvy styles usually the hips may be an issue for you. I’m not super curvy but these are very straight up and down. Overall I love these and would like more in different colors.

Love these shorts! Just what I needed for the heat filled summer in Texas. They are comfy, yet can be dressed up to look chic. They run big. I usually wear a 29 jeans and had to get these in a 27. Would highly recommend these shorts!

I love these shorts! I ordered a size 29 which is my size in Madewell jeans and they were HUGE in the waist. I had to re order 2 sizes down!

These baggy shorts are great!! They run really large so I’m getting another pair a size smaller. They’re very comfortable and excellent quality! They are a little pricey but worth it.

I am a solid 6/28 in most brands of jeans. In some Levi's I am a 27, and in the Madewell skinny jeans I am a 26. I ordered the 27 in these based on the reviews that they ran large, and they were huge. At least a full inch on each side of my hips. They were returned and I'm hesitant to repurchase in the 26 just because those still might be large. Still, they were a great quality and style. I have more muscular thighs and they were the right amount of bagginess, not too balloon-y, but also not too tight.

I love these shorts but I ended up sizing down 2 sizes. I'm normally a 27 and I got a 25. I love the fit of the 25.

I LOVE these shorts. I am usually a size 27 but I sized down and got a 26. After wearing the size 26 twice they were super baggy in the waist. Because I really liked the style I bought the size 25 as well so now I have two haha. I think they are worth it if you just know to size down two sizes.

Like other reviews, definitely run large. Large and heavy. The all-cotton is hefty and not something to wear in warm temps. And no-where in the pics or item description does it describe the front closure as a button-fly. It’s not a zip-fly. Ordered two sizes and they will both likely be returned. Not a fan of button-fly and too weighty for my preference. Love 100% cotton and I’ll definitely try a different style! Thanks, Madewell!

I did like these, but I also had no reviews to go off of. I generally am a 23/24 in Madewell. I decided to get a 25 for whatever reason and these are soooo comically huge. They felt like a 27/28 on me. I won’t even bother exchanging for the 23, I highly doubt they will fit me
