i love the baggy style and how comfy they are. however, they do run slightly large and balloon out a little more than expected. still would recommend, but would suggest sizing down

The material on these is a little more stiff/rough than expected, but nothing a wash didn't fix. I had sort of the opposite sizing problem as everyone it seems. I have the same shorts in the denim wash, and got the same size but they fit differently. The denims are more relaxed and these ones were a tougher fit. Harder to get around the hips, but once they are on, it's all good.

These are my new favorite shorts! I wear them all the time, and they're both cute and SO comfortable. They're relaxed fit, but even still I'd say they run a little big. If you want something a little less bulky, maybe size down. But I got my normal madewell size and I love them,

I love these shorts! The elastic makes them comfortable and easy to pull on. They can be styled in many different ways. I find the length to be perfect. Long enough to cover all necessary body parts without having to worry but short enough to be trendy. I find them to be about finger tip length or slightly longer. You could certainly adjust the length by wearing the waist higher or lower. One of my FAVORITE features is the large, deep front pockets!!

So comfortable. I originally got a medium but I exchanged for a small (I am 5’9”, 150 pounds)! They run large and the small is much more flattering. I wear these shorts several times per week. They’re cute and versatile. Highly recommend!

I read the reviews and was worried about the sizing of the shorts, but found that it ran similar to the blue denim pull-on shorts for me. I am between a small and a medium, and I bought these in a small, like the blue denim pull-on shorts. They were the perfect fit for me. I didn't find that the waist was too tight. Super cute, I love the seams down the center of the short legs. I would highly recommend buying!

These are really great easy and casual pull on shorts. Love the stretchy waistband. But sizing seems pretty inconsistent…I’m usually a medium or 28 in madewell pants so I ordered one. It was huge! I was able to return and get them in a small and they fit perfectly.

I love the pull-on style of the Madewell jeans and shorts this season. I had previously purchased a similar style short in the denim and purchased the same size (XS). However, the waistband on these shorts didn't have as much stretch. I could barely get them over my hips (i'm curvy). Once on, they fit great but were really short. I exchanged for a size up. The waistband on that size is great. The short is roomy but the length is good. Oh well. Can't have it all.
