I'd been on the hunt for a classic button down shirt for awhile and I must say this fits the bill. I ordered a medium and it is a tad big but looks slightly oversize which is fine. If I would have sized down then it wouldn't have fit in the sleeves and shoulders. It is definitely high quality and well made. The pleats add an interesting detail to this wardrobe staple. Overall I'm so happy to have found the good quality staple I've been looking for.

I'm very happy with this purchase. The shirt is one of a good length (unlike some of the Madewell oversized shirts that are way too long), and the fabric is nice and comfortable, not see-through but light. It looks really cute with light-washed jeans. I've washed it once, and it doesn't shrink much coming out of the dryer.

I was looking for a tuck-in white button-down but Madewell's was all sold out of my size. I found this one instead, and while it is not what I was looking for (not a tuck-in at all), I decided to try it. I was worried it would be too baggy and make me look shapeless and hulkiing, but it is actually well proportioned and looks really nice, even tho I am short. Not too bg thru the shoulders or sleeves and it hangs to a good spot on my body. Worn over skinny jeans or ankle pants with flats or Birks..looks great! A classic, timeless look. I dig it.

I am 5’ and 113 Lbs. I got xs. It fits me okay but length is a little bit long and too baggy. I wish Madewell makes more petite shirts. I will try xxs to see if it’s shorter. This shirt is soft and not too thin. The pleated back makes this shirt stylish, cute and different from other shirts.

This shirt has a nice weight, flowy but not sheer, and the back pleat details are nice. I have wide shoulders and this was too oversized and tent like on me. Likely a better fit if you have softer shoulders!
