Loose in waist, tight in hips
The fabric is great -- not too stiff, not too stretchy and such a cool style of jean. I just wish they fit properly. I will have to get them altered. The waist is huge, gapes in the back way more than typical jeans (I usually buy curvy styles). I got a size 25, and I'm usually a 24-25 in curvy sizes. 5ft4in and 115lbs. These pants will likely fit you in your normal size if you don't have wide hips/butt. Do not recommend for pear-shaped folks unless you are OK with getting the waist altered.

Ehh
While I love the fit throughout the hips and legs, the waist is MASSIVE. Like, comically so. I have a 29" waist and 39" hips, and I got the size 29. I don't think I would want to size down, since then the fit in the legs may be too tight. And the legs are also about 6-8" too long -- I'm 5'5", so not exactly short? I'm going to see if a tailor can take the waist in and hem them once quarantine is over, because I really like the fit in the legs. But geez. Madewell isn't great at sizing for curvier bodies, I find that the waist in their pants is usually way too big for me.

ALMOST!
I like these pants, but I wanted to love these pants. I liked the length, width, and wash. I bought these on final sale with no reviews about the product, and I decided to go for it. Sadly, they are on the tighter side. I’m still hoping these pants are going to stretch over time. I went with my usual size that I get in jeans from madewell. I think just getting one size up would’ve been ideal.

Rigid and runs small
TLDR: size up, and these are rigid. I am 5'5" 120 and usually a size 25 in Madewell jeans and 27 in other brands. I ordered the 25 in these and could just barely squeeze them on. The wide leg style is so. good. BUT the hips were too tight and the waist was a little big for me. My hips actually hurt because the pants were so rigid and tight. I was considering going up to a 26 and live with a big waist gap, but looks like they're sold out ): I should have know that the Rivet and Thread line tends to run smaller, and especially with the 100% cotton note.

The fit is very weird
This fit was nothing like I’ve ever experienced. This fit is made for someone lacking any flesh. I love non stretch denim but the cut of this makes it impossible for any body shape to wear. This will have to go in my donate back to store pile. You win some, you lose some when shopping in the final sale category.

Size way up or don’t bother.
These were sooooo tight around the hips and butt. I just could not make them work. If you have any hips or butt at all size up, I mean maybe even two sizes. Or just don’t buy them. I’m not even that curvy, but these really have no wiggle room for a woman with shape.

TINY
I have a pair of Dadjeans and Madewell Wide-Legs in a size 23, but these are so much smaller. I'm 5'6" and 120 lbs with a small enough waist that I have to wear the Madewell 23s with a belt, but I can barely button these pants. They're incredibly small!

So so small
Holy cow! These jeans just made me sad! Wide leg-love! Ability to cuff-love! High rise-love! Inability to even get close to buttoning/zipping them-ugh! I’ve got a pair of Rivet & Thread jeans, so I was fully aware there would be no stretch in these. I even ordered a size up from my other pair. Nope. I’m not even sure 2 sizes up would have worked.
