For those of us who like quality and style, this is it. I hate faux buckles, faux pockets, anything design-wise that is not real. So, to me, this is better than magnetic closure. That is part of the charm. Keep one strap half buckled and it is secure enough. It is small-ish, but I knew that from the dimensions. I wanted something that makes me get rid of non-essentials. Great quality, been eyeing for awhile now, glad I bought it.

I just received my satchel yesterday, and I was so excited, but when I took it out of the box, it was a little underwhelming. I thought that this was going to be a bag I could fit at least my iPad air and my planner in, but that won't be happening. It's a beautiful bag, I got mine in 'pine' and I love the color, but I guess I was just expecting it to be bigger. I've looked at the Cambridge Satchel Company before, but when they did this collab with Madewell, I finally caved. Do I think the bag was worth the price? Not really. But since its personalized, I won't be able to return it. I just have really average feelings about the bag overall. It didn't 'wow' me like I was expecting it to.

I loved the looks of this bag online and I asked for it for Christmas. After three months of use, I am officially disappointed. The buckle closure in the front is very inconvenient. The leather on the buckle straps already looks cracked, even though I rarely put in the effort to use the buckles. Also, something about the straps makes the bag tip upside down, dumping everything on the inside out. Last week, my iphone was dumped out onto the pavement, and now my screen is cracked. This bag is also surprisingly small. It barely holds my keys, wallet and phone. You could slip in a tube of lipstick and a pen, but not much else.

This bag is really, truly beautiful. The color is lovely, the stitching is quality, and it's just the right size for me. BUT unlike many buckle front bags, this bag has real buckles on the front (rather than faux buckles or magnets). This means that every time you buy a latte, you have to spend an extra 5 minutes unbuckling your bag. Who has time for that? Not I!
