Love these boots! Perfect go-to pair that complements everything. Some reviews said the boots ran large, so I ordered a half size down. BUT I actually ended up having to do an exchange for the size I usually wear. So I found them to be TTS. The leather is great quality (like all Madewell).

So glad I was able to get these before they sold out! Boots hit just below the knee (I'm 5'7" for reference) and look great with skinny jeans.

This boot is exactly what I was looking for. I wear a size 7 in other shoes and this is a true 7. I am 5'7" and the boot comes to right below my knee. They look and feel like excellent quality. They fit my legs well and are not "baggy."

I love these boots! This is by FAR the most I've ever spent on shoes, so I was really hoping these boots would be worth it--and they are! So comfortable and high quality! I have very narrow calves, so it's generally hard to find knee-high boots that aren't incredibly baggy, but these are a great fit. I usually wear a 9 in Madewell sandals, and a size 9 in these boots fit perfectly.

This is such a wonderful idea- the rich color and the suede. But the boot knee capped me. The entire boot runs big and I had to size down from a 7 to a 6.5. But the reason I’m going to wind up returning it is because it hits me square on the knee cap and I am 5’4” tall and I have a short torso with long legs. Despite that this was too tall for me. May be for you ladies that are taller, this will be a good pair of boots- but sadly not for me.

I really loved the simple, pull-on look of these online - they were just what I wanted. But when I put them on, I looked like I was wearing tree trunks. The picture makes them look like they taper at the ankle, but they don't. The whole leg is wide. I can't really pinpoint what clothes size these would fit well, but I'd definitely label them "wide-calf." The height was great, just under my knee (I'm 5'8"ish), and they were comfortable, but way too wide. It would be helpful to have a photo of the boots on a model. I also thought the color was grayer than it appears online. Slim them down, and I'd buy them for sure.

I have four pairs of Madewell boots, both flat and heeled. I love them, so I had high hopes for these suede ones. The suede itself is very nice, and although the color in person is grayer than on my monitor, I liked it even better. The problem is the style. These boots rise about 2 inches higher in the back than my other Madewell boots. That is a major problem for this short girl. It hits above my knee crease. I guess Madewell anticipated this because they put a split in the back, but it is very awkward and uncomfortable. I wish Madewell had better pictures of these boots (including the split in the back) because I wouldn't have bought these had I realized they were an entirely different style than my others. As it is, they were final sale, so short buyers beware!

I echo a previous reviewer- the calf area of these boots is way too big! I felt like i was wearing wader boots. I have thin calves and was really disappointed by these boots and ended up returning them. They don't fit like other Madewell tall boots I own.
