This skirt is super cute. I usually wear a size 26 in Madewell jeans but I was able to go with size 25. I love the retro look and quality of the denim.

super cute denim skirt!! the shape is very flattering, and fits well. i ordered a size 28, i am 5’3, and normally wear a size 28/29. i will say that it is a little tight, but not to the point of being super uncomfortable, and i am happy with the size i got.

So cute and comfortable. The yoke is a great touch. True to size. I bought a size larger because I wanted it to sit on my hips. Needed more length because of my age. I got it on sale which was a real plus. If there are more left. Grasp one. You will not be sorry.

This denim skirt is the perfect basic to add into your closet. It can be worn with sandals and a blouse or just a tshirt and sneakers. It’s stretchy but maintains its shape for a few wears before washing. I got my usual jean size (25) and it fits true to size!

I've been looking for the perfect front-button denim skirt for over a year, and when this skirt finally went on sale I knew it was meant to be! The denim is sturdy and doesn't stretch too much, which is good because jeans with spandex in 'em tend to get real sweaty in the summer. Also, the length is perfect, and the back pockets are nice and roomy. I got a size 26, which is a little bit loose around the waist but works just fine once I belt it. (I'm 5'6 and 125 lbs.) Once quarantine is over, you better believe I'm gonna wear this EVERYWHERE.

Echoing what everybody else says, the only thing that was off about this skirt is that the buttons are not snaps, they are actually buttons. I love this skirt, especially the detail on the pockets. I’m 5’3” and 115 pounds and a 25 fit perfectly, true to size. Hits about mid-thigh on me.

Just got this skirt in the mail and I love it! I’ve tried on many Madewell skirts but only own one other, and this one is definitely a keeper! I got my most frequently chosen size 26 and I’m 5’9” 125#. The waistband is a perfect fit, then it’s more relaxed from the hips to the hem, so I’m not worried about it riding up or the buttons pulling, or it being too tight anywhere. I’m tall but it doesn’t look tooo short on me, it’s fingertip length/mid thigh and I’ll be fine to wear it with undershorts. Glad the buttons (not snaps) go all the way to the bottom so there isn’t an awkward front slit that’s too short. Also the denim is thick like rigid/vintage denim (which is what I usually prefer for jeans) and super high quality. Great wash that doesn’t look artificially aged. Oh, and the front pockets are also rather large! Like, big enough for your whole hand! Definitely a feature that most people want but is hard to find in a skirt! I recommend it for all your summer adventures.

What a simple cute skirt for a warm outing! At 5’3”, I didn’t feel like this skirt was inappropriately short. It is above the knee but just slightly above. Love the quality of the material!

I love love this skirt! It is maybe one of my favorite Madewell skirts yet - and I have a lot of them! The denim feels of nice quality and the medium wash is perfect (please make denim shorts in this wash!). The stitching even includes discrete slip pockets, which I think is a nice plus. The other reviewer is right, the buttons are real buttons, not snap. So if this is too tight, you will get the pulling effect at the front. I am a true 27'' waist, but often find with MW's stretch skirts I need a size 26''. That is not the case here; at 1% stretch this has very little give. My true 27'' fit a little better, but didn't go up in length much from the size 26. (I am 5'5'', 130 lbs for reference). I'd say go with your true size, don't order down.
