To me, Pride month is about… Sara: Being with my queer and trans family, dancing, laughing, taking up space, thriving—celebrating all that we are.
Amber: Celebrating and exuding my queerness to the umpteenth degree like a Care Bear, shooting queer love from my chest.
I like to support my community by… Sara: Creating both healing and celebratory spaces for us to learn and grow.
Amber: Creating projects and experiences that center them so that we can show up and thrive together.
I feel the most proud when…. Sara: Someone has accessed a part of themself that they didn’t know was there, in a healing space that I specifically created for them to do so. I love watching folks dig deeper within themselves.
Amber: I see and hear of individuals acknowledging, accepting and loving their queerness.
Love to all looks different this year because… Sara & Amber: There’s sadly so much hate still in the world, but love is the root of each of the solutions.
If I had to describe the future in three words… Sara: Queer, inclusive, possible.
Amber: Black Lives Matter.
