I love the look and smooth-ness of the leather. Very pretty but runs pretty small. I wear 7 in dress shoes and 8 in running shoes, but only 7 was available. They work and are comfortable enough to wear all day but I can’t wear thick socks

Love the look, but they didn't feel great on and didn't feel like they would break in to be comfortable. They were pretty narrow in the toe (although I do have slightly wide feet) and were very stiff. I sadly returned them.

Read the other reviews, but decided to throw the dice. I LOVE THEM. I am slowly updating my closet with timeless, classic pieces that will last the test of time. These booties were surprisingly perfect. Madewell shoes run about 1/2 to full size big so I purchased the 5.5 and they fit great. Unlike most reviewers, I found them to be fairly TTS. They did not accentuate the length of my foot, the way I thought they might. That's always an issue in Chelsea boots (for me) so i was very happy. An added bonus is I purchased on sale and they were delivered next day. Plan to wear these when I need a flat, semi dressy shoe and its too cold to wear flats/mules or sneakers.

Purchased in both colors size 8. (7.5 inmost shoes but always 8 at Madewell). They fit beautifully, are easy to get on, color is gorgeous and design is just so classic. These will be a staple for years. Took them right out of the box, wore them all day for soccer games and a short walk with the dog and I was comfortable all day! I can’t help but feel like they make my feet look huge lengthwise but I love them anyway.

The are lovely boots in a beautiful color. The quality is excellent. However, they definitely require breaking in before wear for long periods and are pretty stiff.

I was looking for a durable pair of boots that would last for years to come. I think I’ve found it! The quality is excellent, but they definitely require some breaking in due to the leather. The first time I wore them they were extremely stiff. They are starting to break in after a couple more wears, and I’m hoping they will be more comfortable with time. I have pretty narrow feet and am a solid size 6. I probably could have sized up to a 6.5 if I wanted to wear thicker socks, but am pretty confident they will fit better after more wear. Overall I recommend!

These run a little narrow and I have narrow feet. They’re definitely stiff at first so they need to be broken in. But they are absolutely beautiful! They’re well made and I think they’ll last a long time.

I purchased these boots on sale in my regular size of 8.5, and they felt a bit tight in the toes, and strangely, the reinforced area at the back of my heel. I'm planning to order a 9 instead. The color and leather are beautiful, if the sizing was correct! I've looked at several other pairs from other retailers, and they are all about $200, so these were a great value, too.
