Pretend it's the 2010s and you need a cute chambray shirt you can tuck into a pencil skirt. This is it! Appreciate the very even wash. Not too stiff and heavy or flimsy and wrinkle-prone. Just right! I sized down and it fit like it does on the model, just a nice standard fit instead of oversized.

I received a birthday promotion during the pandemic and ordered the denim Hutcherson shirt. I was unsure what size to order given some of the reviews. I am 5'2" on a good day and not well endowed. In any event, I went with an xs which is what my other boyfriend oversized oxford is. Being short and in my 50's, oversized can look really silly on me, but this was the perfect amount of relaxed for me. Love the wash and love the birthday discount price!

great chambray and a nice color as well! I wanted it to fit a bit oversized but made the mistake of not reading the description (face palm) and sized up. It was quite large, so I'd go with your normal size or size down one.

For reference, I am 5’1 ft tall, 130 lbs. I am a true SMALL but I like everything oversized so I sized up to MEDIUM. This is a perfect denim shirt. The look and feel is great and is high quality. I pair it with cropped leggings and shorts. Not much into layering yet cause it is very hot in Texas right now. I am thinking of getting another one cause when I love something, I get an extra just in case the store discontinue selling the item. A must buy and a closet staple. I just love it.

I have been in search of the perfect denim shirt for several years and have actually purchased a few. I finally found it with this shirt. It is the perfect weight. It can be dressed up or down. It’s not so heavy that you couldn’t wear it under something. I am wearing it with the sleeves rolled up now and I’m sure I’m going to use it under sweaters come fall. I adore it. Great job Madewell!

I love this shirt! My favorite part is the quality, which you can feel and see. The color is what drew me in and the simple yet stylish pockets in the front. It has a good weight but keeps me cool during these early summer day’s. The only thing I’m not that crazy about is the length but that’s because I’m short, 5’1, and prefer more cropped styles. Also it runs large around the middle, if you are on the shorter side I definitely suggest sizing down. However I noticed that the fit in the shoulders and arms was perfect so keep that in mind if you’re thinking about sizing down. I bought my regular size and found it to be a tad too large so I ordered a size smaller, which has yet to come in, but I think Im going to keep both just because having two of these shirts just seems like a good idea lol they’ll definitely get a lot of use.
