The title says it all...I stalked this sweater and bought it in black and then grey. I often buy a medium at Madewell because I like things slouchy, not tight. I am also very long waisted. I bought a small in black and it is very slouchy but in a cool way (lots of compliments). I then bought the grey in a medium because it popped back before I received the small. The medium is huge! But I will wear it around the house, and probably try washing and drying it in an effort to shrink it. Regardless, I want to wear it because it (in black) looks great. Very warm, not scratchy, and wore it on one of our very cold Boston days (around 4 degrees). I was fine!

This is the perfect winter sweater for frigid cold Northeast days. It is the warmest thing I've ever put on. The fabric is soft and lighter than I expected. The turtleneck is perfectly loose -- not restricting and not too loose to keep my neck warm. This is the perfect turtleneck, for sure. Well done!

LOVE LOVE LOVE This sweater. Have it in black & tan. However, it has a ton of the little fuzz balls after only wearing a little while, so frustrating because it is a favorite.

Love this sweater - it's not too itchy, and the turtleneck is loose but not quite like a cowl. So cozy, perfect for the insane 8 month long winters I live through! Highly recommended even at full price.

I live in Chicago--enough said, right? we do wear out our sweaters, particularly our wool sweaters. I bought this because I needed a new warm sweater--this is much better than I had hoped for. Among other things, it isn't itchy. It looks great, and I can actually take off my down coat in restaurants and not be chilly. Liked it so much I ordered it in black.

I bought 3 of these--gray, black, and oatmeal. They are my go-to sweaters for the winter! No need for anything underneath unless it's super cold. Madewell rarely lets me down in customer service or product.

Jan 29, 2015A glorious turtleneck (yes, it's possible)
What I loved (everything): 1. I have a long neck but a smallish face, and am busty, so I've never found a turtleneck that works for me. I either look like wonder woman or relatively shapeless. The looser neck of this sweater and the length of the turtleneck area (that you roll in to create the turtleneck) makes this sweater very versatile. I can make it look almost like a high scarf or more of a cowl. 2. The high-low back and front is very flattering. It's not so high-low that it will look out of fashion in a bit - this one is versatile. I also got black so it's less noticeable. 3. I can be itch prone, but this sweater's wool was completely comfortable for me. What I did not love: 1. Nothing at all

I bought the gray sweater which is a great color that goes with anything! It is very versatile! Not too itchy even though I usually can't wear any wool.
