These were the type of roomy jean bottoms I was looking for! I sized up from 26 to 27 to get the baggy look. The 100% cotton is soft, not rigid like some other 100% cotton jeans I have. Pair it with a crop top or loose t shirt and you're good to go! ps. it's so nice to have a high-rise with extra room in the waist - I've had plenty enough of high rises digging in!

very similar to last years long high rise denim shorts.These are my holy grail denim shorts as i dont want short shorts,I am tall,5'10",boyish figure and like many have a hard time finding the right fit.the wash is nice,a little rigid but will relax after wearing.I am excited about wearing these when it warms up.

Bought these 2 sizes up cause I wanted comfortable summer shorts and I knew they weren’t stretchy. They definitely don’t have any stretch but I could have gotten away with one size up! Great shorts for summer!

Before I purchased, I overviewed the reviews. Most people mentioned it has 0 stretch, and only minor people wrote that this is big, so I purchased usual size which is 25. (I normally wears 0, XS, 24/25 on Madewell). Once I tried it on, it was huge. Feels like this is 27. However, this shorts itself is pretty and good quality. I really wants to keep it, but need to be returned.

I took a chance on these since they’re not curvy (and I am) and they’re almost perfect. I’m normally a 32 or 33 in Madewell curvy jeans and I went with the 33 since they aren’t curvy and don’t have stretch. They fit great in the hips and legs but do have a bit of a waist gap. Madewell, please make shorts in a curvy fit with a longer inseam!!

These shorts are so cute and I love that they’re longer and looser in the legs, but the waist was wayyyyy bigger than a normal size 25, and the hidden buttons (I thought these had a zipper) make my stomach look quite bulky. As well, after I washed these shorts, the bottoms edges frayed a ton and now I’m nervous to wash them again. I really like these shorts, but I’m going to have to add a bunch of alterations to make them work for me.

They were way cute and I got what my normal size was, a 27. I’m 5’ 8” and about 143 lbs. I know they aren’t supposed to be super tight but the waist was HUGE and it was just saggy on my bum. I don’t think they would have stayed up on me if I tried to wear them! But super cute on my sister in law that wanted them!

I loved the idea of these shorts - longer length, with a more relaxed leg opening than other shorts. The deal breaker for me was the button fly - it constantly flapped open, showing the buttons, and making for an unappealing look. Unfortunately, I’m choosing to return these. Please consider a similar style with a zipper fly
