May 02, 2018Roomy Classy-Casual Bag
I had been in search of a casual classic bag that I could use for day / small trips. I debated between getting the leather and canvas bag, but ultimately decided on getting the canvas bag and couldn't be happier. The bag is roomier than it looks and it has a convenient inner pockets that allow for maximum organization. One set of pockets are open and you can easily tuck in some wires / chargers etc. and the other set is zippered so you can store more valuables if needed. I have used the bag multiple times now and it has already withstood being thrown around into the trunk of my car, caught in the rain and lugging through crowded airports. The waxy canvas makes it easy to clean and while not entirely waterproof, it kept my clothes dry when caught in sprinkles. Also, if debating between the green (british surplus) and beige (truffle) like I did... I found the truffle to be more subtle while the green reminded me too much of the anorak and army jackets we see a lot of lately.

I’m a big fan of lightweight travel, but for my trip to California I just knew a backpack wouldn’t do. Then I found this.... This weekender bag is so much more beautiful in person. It has no weight whatsoever but still looks so sturdy and is an amazing quality! I’m taking this baby to Cali for 5 days, and it fits all my essentials! A pair of jeans, a top, 2 lightweight dresses, a pair of shoes, toiletries, a book and sunglasses. And it still has room for more!

This bag is wonderful. I got it to use as my “ personal item” for airplane travel. I do not check a bag. This tote will easily hold my purse, I-pad, toiletries, extra pair of shoes, etc. This tote with a roll-away is all I will need for a 2 week international trip.

Perfect size, sturdy, classy, dressy, easy to carry. I travel a lot and this is a great size for carry on to avoid checking my luggage. This Weekender is beautifully made. I am a small woman and it fits cross body or over shoulder and I can pack a lot. I highly recommend this and will buy more from Madewell when I need other pieces.

I ordered this weekender for my bachelorette party and personalized it with my future initials. The quality of the bag was prefect and so easy to travel with. The interior pockets were perfect for the easy to grab items. I would highly recommend this bag if you are looking for something as a convenient travel companion.

I needed a stylish, but practical weekender/carry-on and love the idea of the canvas versus the original leather. The bag has a classic style with the beautiful leather accents. I tend to overpack, so this wasn’t 100% ideal for a full weekend away. (i had a hard time packing shoes and toiletries along with my clothes) but I know this will make a great carry-on for traveling. I can easily pack a set of extra clothes and essential toiletries. Has great internal pockets for extra organization....I’m a sucker for pockets.

Jan 31, 2018im looking for every excuse in the book to use this bag as often as i can
"my lunch, laptop, and thirteen books i've convinced myself i need at all times won't find inside my transport tote, guess i'll have to take my weekender bag to work!!" this is how much i love this bag. that said, the green is bit more muted irl. it's a bit more beige. and finally the wax or finish on this bag will crease if stored without care. i don't really know how to explain it. i let mine (rather sloppily) sit on the couch for a few days, came back to it, and while the bag was fine, the wax had a few giant creases in it that are sort of just there now? i mean i don't mind too much i like the distressed, sort of broke in look, i just wasn't expecting that to happen.
