This is a beautiful, quality, sleek tote bag, I use for work. Comfortable fits my 13" laptop in sleeve, nylon zip bag of stuff and a water bottle.

Love this tote. Good size, on the bigger side. Lightweight thin leather with tons of room. Great for travel overnight. The problem with the one I got is that one of the handles is slightly longer than the other. Bag still functions fine. Just that one flaw. Otherwise the bag is great.

I've been on a clothing buying ban in all of 2019, but I made an exception for accessories after lusting over this bag for months. This bag is great, the leather is supple and gets softer over time. I went for the black color which seems a little sleeker and professional. I carry my madewell tote everyday to work and have an organizer to add pockets. I feel like it's upped my style. I got it personalized with the blind emboss option, which takes a little while longer to ship, but is absolutely worth it. Just buy the bag.

Love it. Stylish, practical, great leather. The one addition would be a key snap or loop midway down the bag so the pocket would free up for phone or lip gloss. Malu

This is my second madewell transport tote, so that should say a lot about my love for this bag. I have never been a person that loved bags to be covered in designer logos, and instead tend to favor a minimalistic neutral look for my bags/wardrobe. This transport tote is not only functional, but truly timeless and chic purse. I can see myself using this bag (and the English saddle transport tote) for many years to come. If you want a clean and classic looking everyday bag, don’t hesitate to buy this!

Once I used this bag, I realized you can never go wrong with a black oversized purse. I dont like pockets and extra stuff. I just wanted a bag that could carry my planner, laptop, wallet and maybe a reading book. This bag is just that. When I dont need my laptop I take it out for easier carrying. Loved it so much I bought my mom the same bag in grey.

I needed a bag that could fit everything in one place—lunch bag, water bottle, book, wallet, etc. This tote does just that while striking the balance between office and happy hour. My only complaint is that when I put anything more than a couple of tampons in the inner pocket, it drags down the side of the bag and causes it to slouch, so I wish that section was made stiffer somehow. Other than that, it’s absolutely perfect and I’m only mad I didn’t buy it sooner.
