I love this dress. I live in SC and it is too hot to wear anything but dresses or shorts all summer and this dress is comfortable in the summer but still gives you a put together look. I've never bought items in multiple colors before, but when it went on sale I bought another one in black. Plus it's machine washable?! Hello?!

I want to support all the excellent reviews this dress has, in the hopes that Madewell's designers will bring us more dresses like this in the future! It's so cool to have a Madewell dress that has a work-appropriate hem length. The silhouette of the dress is so tidy and neat, which helps on hot summer days. I love the fabric, it has the perfect weight and sheen, and the lining helps to keep the skirt's shape, even when it's a little wrinkled from wearing it all day. I have it in red and black and wish there were more colors or prints!

So sorry I missed the black version of it! Light, easy wearing, classic. I hope they bring it back next year. I'm 5-3, 135 lbs, smaller chest and full hips, and the size 8 was perfect.

Beautiful color, flattering, runs true to size, "made well" and very comfortable! Lightweight and great for layering, can be dressed up or down. Only drawback is water/dampness is very visible on this fabric, so careful washing your hands.

I've been looking for the perfect summer dress for the past several summers. Finally, I have found it. I'm tall, so finding dresses long enough is often an issue. Not with this dress, which is a perfect summer weight and age appropriate for anyone. As many reviewers have mentioned, it is more gorgeous in person than you would think based upon the website photos. I bought the black, red, and white and will buy this dress in every color/print Madewell offers in the future. Well done, Madewell!

I wore this dress for the first time today and garnered compliments left and right. The color is a pretty red with a nice sheen that good poplin often has. The longer length is perfect for work, and it's also super comfy with an elastic band (I wore it without a belt today, with a pale blue cardigan, but I happened to see a woman on the street wearing it with a leather belt - it looked great on her too!). The back hemline is my favorite detailing (a little longer in the back with a bit of flare from how it's gathered at the waist in the back), but I also love the sport-inspired collar which gives the dress a little edge. The last thing I'll mention is how the armholes are tailored in a way that I don't have to worry about any pouchy areas showing (they aren't just scooped; they are on a slight diagonal before going into the scoop). Can't say how it'll fit on everyone, but for me, a total winner.

I'm a realtor and I'm always looking for cotton dresses that look sleek but are comfortable. This dress can be dressed up or down. I also bought it in black. Please offer more of these types of dresses! I'd buy a bunch.
