Jan 13, 2025perfect leather jacket but size up
I bought this after pining for a leather jacket for years and I don't regret it one bit. I usually wear a size medium in Madewell tops but I sized up to a large for the jacket because I wanted to be able to fit a sweater underneath it, the arms are quite slim so if you think you need extra space in the upper arm I recommend sizing up.

After yearsss of purchasing faux leather jackets, I finally decided to purchase a REAL leather jacket to build a capsule wardrobe. And I love it! I think it looks so good to dress up a casual jeans and tshirt outfit. The sleeves are a bit long on me (I’m 5”2’ and 100 pounds) and for me I stuck to my regular size since I don’t plan on wearing this for winter over a thick sweater. But I def would agree with other reviews and size up if you plan to!

Like the duller brass hardware vs a sharper gold/brass or silver. Sized up to be able to wear a medium weight sweater underneath -- still too snug for a bulky sweater.

I’ve looked so long for a quality leather jacket with brass detailing, and this fits the bill! It’s gorgeous, buttery soft, and has held up really well. I did have to size up so it fit my shoulders.
