I'm a youngster from Boulder, CO currently in California headed for the mountains of Pinecrest and Stanulaus. Camping is always going to be a routine in my life so it's nice to find pieces such as this one. I can fall in-love with it and not have to worry about it falling into pieces in the next year. The Terry knit on the inside of the sweater allows for warmth and comfort without leaving a pool of sweat down my back when carrying my equipment. The piece layers nice with almost everything due to the fantastic garment dyed / unique color! My girlfriend loves it too, she loved mine so much we got one for her! The crewneck really lives on you, you'll forget all about it once it's on and it doesn't get in the way of any of my handy work unlike an oversized crew would! Not only is it rugged and vintage, it's high quality and Madewell!

I was ELATED to hear that Madewell started making clothes for men because the quality, cuts, and designs of the women's line are all so amazing. Classic with the perfect hint of trend. This sweatshirt is just that. My husband gets hot very easily and this sweatshirt is light enough to be a second layer for him. Love it on him too.

This sweater is both comfy and stiff enough to not be awkwardly skin-tight. As a tall person, I find the length of this sweater to be just right for me. I really like that the the inside of the sweater is made from a comfortable material, and this sweater will go with almost anything I wear.

I like this piece a lot. It feels structured without being stiff and stylish without being too trendy. In one word: classic. I've recently started to support brands who sell more durable, longer lasting products because I've grown tired of buying new things every season. I'd rather have one or two substantial pieces (such as this sweatshirt) than eight or nine so-so pieces. p.s. everyone keeps asking to touch this sweatshirt! seriously -- three coworkers already asked this morning. I guess they can tell it's soft!

I have the gray and the slate colored sweatshirt. I really like the color, feel and style. The one downside is the length at the waist. It’s just oddly short. The arm length is where it should be, maybe even a tad long. But the waist line is way high. If you order the Medium, I hope you’re under 6’ tall. An undershirt is mandatory.

I loved the idea of this sweatshirt but I had a hunch it wouldn’t fit like I wanted it to. I whole heartedly support what Madewell is trying to accomplish with their clothing, going for a vintage/classic style but personally I think in reality it ends up just fitting like an old second hand piece of clothing from the 80’s. If that’s the look you’re going for that’s fine, but I’d recommmend just searching the local thrift store for something similar for a fraction of the price.

This shirt is super comfy. Not too slim, not too baggy, and the sleeve length is great but the torso length is incredibly short. I'm 5'11" and slim and it barely covered my belly button.

Loved the material and the color but it was too short and didn't cover my stomach when I put my arms above my head. Really disappointed. Make it longer and I will purchase again!
