I was nervous about the mixed reviews on these boots but ultimately pulled the trigger when they went on a deep discount. I’m so pleased that I did because I find them shockingly comfortable. I wore them today on a walk (about 2 kms) and a trip to the playground with my kid. For the heel height, I found them comfortable and didn’t encounter the ankle issue some other users noted. For reference, I’m typically a 9.5 with a wide foot and bought my usual size. So stylish! Love them!

I wanted these last season and didn’t get them because I had something kind of similar, and regretted it. So when I saw this this year, I got them quick. They are a great and timeless staple that you can dress up or down. I loved them so much I got them in the suede too!

I wanted a boot that was versatile and timeless. This is a boot I'll be wearing for years. Took me a bit to figure out my size -- depending on the shoe, I'm between 10-11. But I think I'm really a 10.5 and this fit perfectly. Very high quality, very good purchase. And thank you Madewell for having 10.5s!

Love this boot! I absolutely love Madewell shoes and boots as they are made very well! Am really pleased with this boot and love the color. It is also comfortable from what I can tell! Can’t wait to wear it this fall! Highly recommend this!

I bought some classic black boots from Madewell years ago and fell IN LOVE. I wear those tattered things to this day. Thought I'd add a brown pair to my collection but unfortunately, these are not it. The toe is much narrower and heel too high. They are super cute and I will still wear then (no return option, sigh), but they just aren't as comfy. RIP to the square toe low heel boots--bring them back Madewell!

A very stylish and relatively comfortable bootie, with high quality leather. However, I have found that it can be somewhat uncomfortable where it’s opening meets above my ankle/lower leg. It’s a strange height, so I’ve had to get used to walking in them, especially going down the stairs. Overall, I like them.

Every time I wear these booties, I feel so much taller thanks to the 2.5 in heel. It does get tiring walking in these booties all day, however, so I recommend for work or events but not really for walking around town.
