I'm really excited for this jacket. Granted, this is new so we'll see how it holds up, but it's beautiful and so soft. The reviews about it running small are so true - I am usually an XS, sometimes an XXS, but I ordered a S and I'd say it fits similar to how a Madewell XS usually fits. I can fit a sweater under it zipped, but would need to go size M if I wanted a loose fit. Would love to see this in a brown or other colors. Definitely glad I got it on sale during an insider event! I would for sure wait until then.

Jan 13, 2025perfect leather jacket but size up
I bought this after pining for a leather jacket for years and I don't regret it one bit. I usually wear a size medium in Madewell tops but I sized up to a large for the jacket because I wanted to be able to fit a sweater underneath it, the arms are quite slim so if you think you need extra space in the upper arm I recommend sizing up.

After yearsss of purchasing faux leather jackets, I finally decided to purchase a REAL leather jacket to build a capsule wardrobe. And I love it! I think it looks so good to dress up a casual jeans and tshirt outfit. The sleeves are a bit long on me (I’m 5”2’ and 100 pounds) and for me I stuck to my regular size since I don’t plan on wearing this for winter over a thick sweater. But I def would agree with other reviews and size up if you plan to!

Like the duller brass hardware vs a sharper gold/brass or silver. Sized up to be able to wear a medium weight sweater underneath -- still too snug for a bulky sweater.
