The chain runs through it so the yin/yang charm slides to stay centered. As with lighter charms and necklaces that are connected, as you turn your neck so turns the chain and charm. This charm is thick and weighty but not too much. The gold plating is quality and the white part looks like pearl. It has a sheen. Overall it’s good quality and a keeper to wear every day showing or not. Also the length is adjustable. I love the yin/yang symbol of light and dark, likeness and opposites. I love this necklace!

Was pleased with this purchase. Very good quality - strand is sturdy, pendant is nicely made. It looks like a real one being the gold not bright, has an almost matte finish. And Yin Yang symbol is significant to my life, so i will be wearing this everyday. Hopefully it will hold its color.
