I had to write a review because even though I got this sweater for $1 thanks to a sale and Insider Rewards, it would have been worth the regular price. The detail on the collar and sleeves are so cute and help give a feminine edge to this otherwise basic sweater.

Lovely sweater, love the little details but it is slightly smaller than the usual Madewell size. I am an XS and ordered an XS, but it was fitted and quite cropped. I am 5'4" and it definitely does not reach my hips, it reaches above it and is slim fitted. I should have purchased a small but they didn't have the size. Size up if you want a slightly loose fit as shared by other reviewers. But it is cute. Madewell, please continue to make cotton sweaters and keep the length normal as you did in the past. Thanks!

The drawback on this sweater is that it is a bit boxy and a bit cropped. I decided to keep it because I love the ruffle detail around the neckline and sleeves, and the color is perfect. It's a thick sweater that feels warm. I've washed it once already and it held up well (no pilling or fuzziness). Overall, I'm glad to have it in my fall line-up.

This is possibly my favorite sweater I’ve ever gotten from Madewell, and I have a lot of them. The ruffles at the neck and wrists make it so special. The fit is incredibly flattering. And the vintage mulberry color is to die for, so unique!

I purchased this sweater in vintage mulberry. The color looks redder online and more of a purplish-red in-person, but I like it. The sweater has lovely feminine detail around the collar and sleeves, and it looks great with black pants or jeans. I highly recommend this sweater!

After going through the reviews on this I decided to size up based off others saying it felt too small. I'm usually a small in tops so I went with a medium. It was far too big. The sleeves and the overall body of the sweater made me feel like I was swimming in it. Even with a larger bust (34DDD) I could barely fill it out. I will probably end up keeping it since returns are a pain for me and I'll try to make it work. Unless you are looking for an oversized look I'd say stick with your regular size.
