This jacket is the best weight. Feels like a high quality item. I went a size larger than normal since jackets usually fit my arms tight, and I’m glad I did. I can layer over a sweater and be very comfortable.

This is my forever denim jacket. The tailoring and quality is impeccable. It’s oversized without being sloppy and somehow they tailored it to be able to fit over pretty much any sweater without adding bulk. The 100% cotton will last forever. I did size up two sizes (from a 1x to 3x) because the 2x, while fitting perfectly open, was tight around my hips if I tried to close it. Surprisingly did not add bulk to the silhouette by sizing up and now it closes with room! I really appreciate all the fine details in the buttons and pockets, just a very high quality investment piece plus got it on sale. This is that jacket you can throw on over leggings and a hoody and look polished and stylish while remaining comfy and modest. I washed it in cold water and air dryed it (don’t want it to shrink!) it was a little stiff but loosens up with wear. Thank you Madewell for your thoughtful design and sustainable practices. I love buying clothes I can wear for years to come.

5’3, 115 # I’m typically an XS but wanted to make sure the jacket was a bit longer on me. Sized up to a S. Arm length was great and jacket covered part of my hips. I’ve been on the hunt for an oversized denim jacket for awhile and was hesitant to buy this one because I was unsure of the wash. Glad I ordered it because it is the perfect fit and the wash is very neutral. It should match everything.

I bought this jacket to throw over sweatshirts on chillier days when I walk to class. It's the perfect amount of oversized to fit over a sweatshirt. It looks super cute and all of the pockets are perfect to hold what I need at concerts! Would definitely recommend.

Obsessed with this jacket! I was unsure about the denim wash from the online photos but love it in person. I stuck with my true size (small); it’s slightly oversized but that is the look. I am 5’9 with long arms and the sleeves are slightly short, but looks cute with sleeves rolled or pushed up. I’m loving it styled with athleisure looks.
